The Planned Parenthood abortion business in Florida is opposing a bill in the state legislature that would provide medical care and legal protection for babies who are born alive after failed abortions.
This is the same legislation President Barack Obama refused to support during his time in the Illinois legislature and it mirrors a national law President George W. Bush signed after nurse Jill Stanek exposed how her Chicago-area hospital left babies to die in utility closets after botched abortions.
The pro-life, HB1129, measure ultimately cleared the House Criminal justice Subcommittee. The bill would require that medical care be given to newborns, likely to be premature, who survive botched abortions. The care would be given at a hospital and not at the abortion clinic.
“The state has an interest in people who are incapacitated,” said bill sponsor Rep. Cary Pigman, R-Avon Park. “This bill is intended to guarantee all respect and humanity to an infant that’s born alive, regardless of how it entered this world.”
Daniel McConchie, the Vice President of Government Affairs for Americans United for Life, informed LifeNews of a subcommittee meeting yesterday where a representative of Planned Parenthood opposed the measure. He provided a transcript of the portion of the hearing and a video to LifeNews:
Chairman Boyd: “So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief. If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?”
Miss Snow (PP): “Um, well, we believe that any decision is made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician.”
Chairman Davis: “I believe you were in the room when I asked Rep. Pigman what happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?”
Miss Snow: “Um, I do not have that information. I am not a physician, I am not an abortion provider. So I do not have that information.”
Chairman Davis: “I understand that you are not a physician, but you represent physicians who do perform this activity. And can you tell me what happens when a baby is alive on a table at that point? What do they do with the baby that is struggling to live?”
Miss Snow: “I don’t know and as I referenced earlier, we don’t know how prevalent this situation even is.”
Chariman Davis: “I don’t know how else I can get an answer Mr. Chairman.”
Rep 3: “Along the same lines you stated that a baby born alive on a table as a result of a botched abortion that that decision should be left to the doctor and the family. Is that what you’re saying?”
Miss Snow: “That decision should be between the patient and the health care provider.”
Rep 3: “I think that at that point the patient would be the child struggling on the table, wouldn’t you agree?”
Miss Snow: “Uh, that’s a very good question. I really don’t know how to answer that…um…I would be glad to have some more conversations with you about this.”
Rep 4: “What objection could you possibly have to obligate a doctor to transport a child born alive to a hospital where it seems to me they would be most likely to be able to survive?”
Miss Snow: “What about those, and I’m just speaking out here, what about those situations where it is in a rural health care setting, the hospital is 45 minutes or an hour away, that’s the closest trauma center or emergency room. You know there’s just some logistical issues involved that we have some concerns about.”
Planned Parenthood has taken credit for pro-abortion President Barack Obama’s re-election by openly admitting that their political action committee’s plan relied on partisan scare-tactics.
The abortion conglomerate has been a long-time favorite of Barack Obama, and they were more than willing to spend whatever they had to make sure that their best supporter re-won the presidency – to the tune of $15 million.
Spending an outrageous amount of money, however, was not enough. The abortion giant had to cleave to the overly-used scare-tactic of the “War on Women,” claiming that members of the Republican Party — and the Pro-Life Romney/Ryan ticket — would take away abortion and women’s access to free abortion-inducing birth control. And if you listened hard enough, Planned Parenthood made it seem like Mitt Romney and his Republican cohorts wanted to take away a woman’s right to vote and her very livelihood!
Planned Parenthood executive vice president Dawn Laguens told an Emily’s List post-election panel that Planned Parenthood’s strategy was very simple: to keep undecided women’s minds preoccupied with abortion and birth control until the very last minute – until they were forced to make a decision.
“[W]e could kind of hold them in ‘undecided’, in particularly in the presidency, by making Mitt Romney questionable in their mind on our set of issues,” Laguens said.
Holding women politically hostage based on the notion that they couldn’t make up their minds for themselves, but rather had to rely on someone else is a pro-woman mindset? That’s news to me.
Planned Parenthood and their cronies claim to care about women, but if all they cared about was using women as pawns to elect Obama and further their life-ending business, they certainly don’t think as highly of women as they scream they do. By their own admission, women were just a stepping stone to something better, a prop to be used, the means to an end. And they got their end: four more years of destructive anti-woman and anti-child policies that will further the money-obsessed abortion business.
But after all, that’s what “women’s rights” is really all about.
Planned Parenthood can pander all they want to their favorite president, but Pro-Life states like Texas will continue to fight the abortion giant – and we will continue to win. With Pro-Life victories throughout Texas, we maintained a strong Pro-Life hold in the state House and won a Pro-Life majority in the state Senate.
Texas is ready to take the charge and lead the nation as a Pro-Life stronghold. Won’t you join us?

Planned Parenthood will close many of its clinics before the next presidential election.
I have been actively fighting Planned Parenthood since 1985. It’s clear to me that the American public is ready to throw Planned Parenthood into the dustbin of history. Since the mid-1990s, the citizens have been forcing Planned Parenthood to retreat.
In 1992, Planned Parenthood had 922 clinics across the country. Bill Clinton was elected president that year. Planned Parenthood publicly announced a goal to have 2,000 clinics by the year 2000. It never made it. Planned Parenthood grew to 938 clinics in 1995. But it simply could not withstand the constant pressure from parents and pro-life advocates. Across the country, it began closing more clinics than it was opening.
In the year 2000, Planned Parenthood reported having 875 clinics—a far cry from its goal of 2,000.
Planned Parenthood was unable to meet its goal because of the collaborative work of three diverse groups of people—and a carefully worked-out plan of opposition. These three groups and that plan are still in place today. Together, they have continued to whittle away at Planned Parenthood’s empire. By the end of 2011, it had been forced to close another 126 clinics. Every clinic closing means there is a community that no longer has Planned Parenthood in its midst—a community that is free of the influence of this destructive organization. A community, like Amarillo, Texas, that has seen a dramatic drop in teenage pregnancies since Planned Parenthood closed its doors.
With the Obama victory, the fight against Planned Parenthood is going to escalate. As the groups opposed to Planned Parenthood realize the enormous amount of taxpayer money that is funneling into PP’s coffers, they are going to become incredibly active.
The three groups of people who you will see rise up in greater numbers across the country are:
1. Pro-life activists who understand that Planned Parenthood runs the largest abortion chain in the country. That it kills, every week, twice the number of innocent human beings who died on September 11, 2001.
2. Parents who become aware of the threat that Planned Parenthood is to their children. The parents who fight Planned Parenthood come in all stripes—progressive, conservative, black, white, Hispanic, and Asian. Many actually consider themselves “pro-choice,” but do not want Planned Parenthood anywhere near their children.
3. Fiscal conservatives. They become very motivated when they realize the obscene amount of taxpayer money going to Planned Parenthood. The fact that PP received almost one-half billion dollars last year—and will probably be approaching the billion dollar mark in taxpayer money very quickly—gets them rightfully upset.
Add to all this that American Life League’s STOPP project has developed a proven plan for defeating Planned Parenthood—a plan that has worked well for two decades and was enhanced three years ago with fantastic results—and you have the right mixture for a successful movement.
Planned Parenthood has 749 clinic locations in the United States, and one out of every three of them has a regularly scheduled protest outside its doors. The American public does not want Planned Parenthood around and people are willing to stand in front of its locations to let everyone know.
Planned Parenthood is celebrating the victory of Barack Obama. It believes it will have four years to expand its influence and its profitability. It is already implementing the initial stages of its plans with money it is receiving from the federal Department of Health and Human Services.
But the opposing army is ready—and it is an army that will use peaceful and prayerful tactics. It will cause such discontent with Planned Parenthood that PP will have no choice but to close its clinics—one after another.
With the expert leadership of American Life League, and many other groups, the fight against Planned Parenthood will continue in the streets. It will be in the churches and schools of Main Street America. It will be in the legislative chambers in counties, cities, and state houses all across the land.
By the time the next presidential election comes around, Planned Parenthood will be closing clinics at a fast rate and wondering how it will ever survive. Don’t believe it? Check back every few months and we’ll let you know how we’re doing.

The Planned Parenthood abortion business put out a statement in response to this week’s pushback against President Barack Obama for his misleading statement in the Tuesday night debate claiming it does mammograms.
“There are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings,” Obama claimed during the debate.
The statement goes on at length to talk about the referrals Planned Parenthood makes for women — referrals that women can obtain at any legitimate medical health provider that does not also destroy lives in abortions.
“In short, Planned Parenthood helps women nationwide get access to mammograms, as part of the range of health care Planned Parenthood health centers provide to nearly three million people a year. Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses do this like any other primary care provider or ob-gyn does,” it admits.
“Women rely on Planned Parenthood for referrals,” the abortion business admits. “Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses refer patients to other facilities for mammograms.”
Meanwhile, Factcheck.org confirms Planned Parenthood does not actually do mammograms.
At the second presidential debate, President Obama said that women “rely on” Planned Parenthood for mammograms. Actually, mammograms are not performed at the clinics; Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses conduct breast exams and refer patients to other facilities for mammograms.
Obama said: “When Governor Romney says that we should eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood, there are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for not just contraceptive care. They rely on it for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings.”
Obama used a similar line again on Oct. 18, telling a Manchester, N.H., crowd: “Governor Romney said he’d end funding for Planned Parenthood, despite all the work it does to provide women with mammograms and breast cancer screenings.”
Women can’t walk into a Planned Parenthood clinic and get a mammogram on the spot. The clinics don’t have mammography equipment.
Ample evidence already confirms Planned Parenthood doesn’t actually perform mammograms — it merely refers women for them to legitimate medical centers that do — but National Review this week made new calls to clinics to confirm it.
To test the president’s statement in the real world, I called several Planned Parenthood offices in the New York City area today to ask about scheduling a mammogram. “We actually don’t offer that here,” one office told me. “You might want to call 311, they actually have lists of places you could go to.” When I asked, “You don’t provide them like the president said?,” I was told “No.”
Another office told me the following: “We don’t do mammograms, but I could definitely give you other places you could call.” When I mentioned the president’s statement, the woman said, “I’m not even sure because we’ve never offered mammograms.” Of the five offices I called, only the Hempstead, N.Y., location said it offered the service — on Fridays and not by an in-house technician.
When the Komen Foundation announced in February that it would no longer provide grants to Planned Parenthood—partly due to the fact that Planned Parenthood does not directly provide mammograms – its ideological and political supporters sprang into action. They decried Komen’s decision to eliminate funding for this imagined provider of mammograms. Planned Parenthood’s Executive Director, Cecile Richards, , made the claim. So did President Obama. And an unsuspecting public was led to believe that such bold claims, by people who should know, must be true.
Planned Parenthood itself has admitted that it does not perform mammograms for women — something the Komen for the Cure breast cancer charity confirmed last year.
LifeNews.com and pro-life blogger Jill Stanek followed up with phone calls to various Planned Parenthood centers and confirmed they do not do mammograms.
Then, the organization Live Action released videotaped footage of calls to 30 Planned Parenthood centers nationwide in 27 different states where abortion facility staff were asked whether or not mammograms could be performed on site. Every one of the Planned Parenthood centers admitted they could not do mammograms. Every Planned Parenthood, without exception, tells the women calling that they will have to go elsewhere for a mammogram, and many clinics admit that no Planned Parenthood clinics provide this breast cancer screening procedure.
“We don’t provide those services whatsoever,” admits a staffer at Planned Parenthood of Arizona while a staffer at Planned Parenthood’s Comprehensive Health Center clinic in Overland Park, Kansas tells a caller, “We actually don’t have a, um, mammogram machine, at our clinics.”
Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director in Texas, also condemned Planned Parenthood’s misleading statements on mammograms.
“For so long PP has touted that they are a provider of mammogram services,” she said. “This is just one of the lies that Planned Parenthood uses to draw people into their clinics. PP is not able to provide quality services on their own, so they are forced to lie to the public about services they don’t provide–and mammograms are just one of those services.”
In September the Obama administration conceded Planned parenthood doesn’t do mammograms.
A young woman has died after having a second-trimester abortion at a Chicago-area Planned Parenthood clinic. Tonya Reaves, 24, died late Friday night, according to a local CBS television station, of hemorrhage, with a cervical dilation and evacuation, according to the medical examiner’s office following an autopsy after the abortion that claimed her life.
CBS Chicago said Reaves died after the abortion she had at 18 S. Michigan Avenue Planned Parenthood facility. The woman was transported from the Loop Health Center Planned Parenthood abortion clinic to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:20 P.M.
An autopsy conducted Saturday determined that she died from hemorrhage following a Dilation and Evacuation abortion. The D&E abortion method is one employed in pregnancies that have advanced beyond the first trimester. In involves opening the cervix and removing the pre-born baby by dismembering him or her. The Loop Health Center Planned Parenthood advertises abortions up to 18 weeks.
Tonya’s twin sister Toni was devastated by the news, telling the television station, “We were born the same day. She was my other half.”
“It happened so fast. She was just fine one day and then the next day she was gone. We’re just trying to figure out what happened… what happened,” she said.
Reaves’ sister indicated Tonya was engaged to be married and had another son, who had just enjoyed his first birthday.
Troy Newman, the head of Operation Rescue and Pro-Life Nation, told LifeNews he is saddened by Reaves unnecessary death.
“Abortion deaths like this are completely avoidable. When a woman bleeds to death after an abortion, it is usually an indication of error on the part of the abortionist coupled with a delay in calling for emergency assistance. Planned Parenthood should be held accountable,” said Newman. “Our heartfelt prayers go out to the victim’s family at this time of tragic loss.”
Newman said the abortion death follows a recent expose’ published in the Chicago Tribune in June, 2011, that took to task abortion facilities in the state failing to report abortion complications and exposed the fact that some abortion practitioners did not report complications at all, in violation of the law. At that time, Illinois officials made no attempt to enforce abortion laws in that state.
Newman said that, while the name of the abortion practitioner in this case is likely unknown, Planned Parenthood’s most recent 990 Tax Forms list abortionist Caroline M. Hoke as its Medical Director.
In fact, Planned Parenthood of Illinois CEO Carole Brite, in a written statement the television station obtained, refused to give further details, saying, “We do not publicly discuss private patient matters and we follow HIPAA laws that forbid the disclosure of patient information.”
Newman called on the Obama administration to pull taxpayer funding from the Planned Parenthood abortion business because of the death.
“In light of this tragedy, which is yet another in a long list of Planned Parenthood abuses, we call on President Obama to immediately withdraw all Federal funding and personal support from Planned Parenthood,” said Newman. “Friday’s death is yet another reason why men and women of conscience across this nation cannot and will not comply with the forced funding of abortion and its intentional violation of religious liberties.”
A leading pro-life group has obtained a copy of Tonya Reaves’ autopsy report that it says shows beyond a doubt that the 24-year old woman died from three major complications during a botched second-trimester abortion suffered at a Chicago area Planned Parenthood abortion clinic on July 20, 2012.
Operation Rescue, which obtained the full autopsy results late yesterday, says it indicates that Reaves’ injuries were survivable if she had received proper emergency care in a timely manner.
The autopsy report is seven pages in length but it took two months for it to be released publicly, despite requests from OR and a pro-life attorneys group. Operation Rescue president Troy Newman tells LifeNews the autopsy is missing any information about the Planned Parenthood clinic that did the failed abortion as well as the name of the abortion practitioner responsible for taking Reaves’ life. Newman says these omissions give substance to suspicions that there is an on-going cover-up of Planned Parenthood’s actions that led to Reaves’ death.
It is the official opinion of the Cook County Medical Examiner that Reaves’ cause of death “is due to hemorrhage resulting from cervical dilation and evacuation due to an intrauterine pregnancy.” In plain language, Reaves bled to death as the result of a bungled D&E abortion. The pregnancy itself did not contribute to her death.
“We strongly believe that criminal charges such as Depraved Indifference, Criminal Negligence, and Criminal Malpractice are applicable in this case and we again call for a criminal investigation into the death of Tonya Reaves,” said Newman. “Planned Parenthood killed her, now they must be brought to justice in a court of law.”
“As bungled as this abortion was, we believe Tonya Reaves could have survived her injuries if she had gotten immediate emergency care and if Planned Parenthood had shared medical information with the hospital related to her incomplete abortion and uterine perforation,” said Newman. “Instead, Planned Parenthood left the trauma team in the dark to solve the puzzle of Tonya’s injuries while her life ebbed away.”
Newman said the autopsy reveals the following:
- She was a healthy woman who was approximately 16 weeks pregnant at the time of her abortion, well into the second trimester.
- She suffered from an incomplete abortion. The Medical Examiner discovered pieces of placenta still attached to the inside of her womb even after a second abortion done by the hospital to remove fetal remains left by Planned Parenthood.
- She suffered a 3/16 inch uterine perforation near forcep impression marks. D&E abortions involve dismembering the baby in the womb and removing the pieces with forceps.
- She suffered an “extensive” perforation of her broad uterine ligament with a possible severing of her left uterine artery as a result of her abortion. This accounted for the internal bleeding that was discovered only too late by the hospital trauma team.
- There were 1-1.5 liters of blood and clots inside her abdominal cavity. The human body holds roughly five liters of blood. Reaves bled about 30 percent of her total volume of blood into her abdomen, and that does not account for the amount of blood lost through what was likely substantial vaginal bleeding due to the retained fetal remains.
- In a vain attempt to save her life, the hospital trauma team performed an emergency hysterectomy on Reaves.
Some news report have indicated that a contributing factor in Reaves’ death was injuries received from being pushed down a flight of stairs by her one-year old son’s father. However, the autopsy indicated, “There is no evidence of significant recent external injury.” This puts the responsibility for Reaves’ death solely on Planned Parenthood.
Newman is also concerned that Planned Parenthood is engaging in false advertising about the abortions it does at the Chicago clinic where Tonya died.
“Reaves’ abortion took place at the Loop Health Center Planned Parenthood, located at 18 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Planned Parenthood’s website indicates that surgical abortions were not supposed to be available at that location, which leads to questions about whether the office was properly equipped for risky second trimester abortions,” he said.
Operation Rescue plans to file a complaint with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation against abortionist Carolyn Hoke, who is believed to have been responsible for Reaves’ abortion. Hoke serves as the Medical Director for Planned Parenthood. One week after Reaves’ family sued Planned Parenthood of Illinois for killing Reaves, it agreed to pay the state $367,000 to settle a case against Hoke involving fraudulent over-billing of Medicaid.
In that case, abortion practitioner Caroline Hoke was accused of over-billing Medicaid an estimated $430,380 for mostly undocumented services. Hoke was the state’s fourth highest billing Medicaid physician, asking the taxpayers to fork over $3.9 million to her from 2009-2011 as she served as the Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of Illinois.
Although news reports indicate Reaves’ family has filed suit, officials with Operation Rescue and the Thomas More Society, a pro-life legal group, can find no actual evidence one has been filed. The family reportedly sued Planned Parenthood and Northwestern Memorial Hospital after Reaves received a botched second trimester abortion at a Chicago Planned Parenthood office on July 20, 2012.
The Planned Parenthood abortion business, which waited five hours before sending a woman who died from a botched legal abortion to the hospital, never called 911.
Initially, Steve Miller of the CBS news affiliate WBBM released a report showing documents released in the botched abortion death of Tonya Reaves that alarmingly showed Planned Parenthood delayed summoning emergency care for the dying woman for five and a half hours after the abortion failed.
Later John Jansen of the Pro-Life Action League, obtained documents verifying that Planned Parenthood’s Loop Health Center in Chicago did not call 911 on the day 24-year old Tonya Reaves died after having an abortion at the facility.
“Documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act show [PDF] that only one call to 911 was made on Friday, July 20 from the building located at 18 S. Michigan, which houses Planned Parenthood and several other tenants,” Jansen said. “It’s unclear which tenant in the building placed that call, made at 12:46 p.m., but it was concerning an instance of child abuse, and thus could not possibly have been related to Tonya Reaves.”
“Planned Parenthood’s unfathomable negligence in the death of Tonya Reaves raises numerous questions that demand answers,” Jansen added. “Why didn’t Planned Parenthood call 911 immediately once Tonya Reaves started experiencing complications following her abortion?”
“Did Planned Parenthood call a private ambulance company instead of calling 911? If so, why? It was a Chicago Fire Department ambulance that ultimately transported Tonya Reaves to Northwestern Memorial Hospital — five and a half hours after her abortion. If Planned Parenthood didn’t call 911, who notified the Fire Department and told them to send an ambulance?” Jansen asked. “Does Planned Parenthood’s Loop Health Center have a medical emergency policy? If so, was it followed in the case of Tonya Reaves?”
“Most abortion facilities in the state of Illinois are subject to inspections by the Department of Public Health. But due to a loophole in the state’s complicated abortion facility regulatory scheme, all Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in Illinois are unlicensed and not subject to state inspection,’” he continued. “As a result, there is a lot we don’t know about Illinois’ Planned Parenthood facilities.”
Jansen concluded: “But we do know that 24-year old Tonya Reaves had an abortion at Planned Parenthood’s Loop Health Center and died 12 hours later — and Planned Parenthood needs to be held accountable for her death.”
At 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Reaves received a second-trimester dilation and evacuation (D&E) abortion at Planned Parenthood, located at 18 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago. Following the abortion, Reaves began bleeding heavily and it continued at Planned Parenthood for five and a half hours before a Fire Department ambulance finally took her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 4:30 p.m., according to Miller.
Then, once the young woman arrived at the hospital, the reports make it appear emergency personnel had to start from scratch to figure out the extent of Reaves injuries.
“Then at 5:30 p.m., doctors performed an ultrasound, and another dilation and evacuation procedure – basically, another abortion – this time at Northwestern,” Miller reports. “But after that, there were then more problems, and pain. That warranted a new ultrasound, and a perforation was discovered. At 10:12 p.m., Reaves was taken back to surgery – and “an uncontrollable bleed was discovered,” documents say.”
November 7, 2012, (STOPP.org) – “There’s tons of ways that people define ‘slut.’ Most, though, are f’d up.” That’s the lead in for an MTV video targeting teens and tweens on Planned Parenthood’s Info for Teens Facebook page. This denigrating instructional video takes place in a classroom setting and encourages young girls to become promiscuous and emphasizes that others should respect them because, as sluts, they are “confident in their sexuality.”
Francisco, the young, attractive “Savage U” sex instructor, stands in front of a chalkboard showing one large stick figure and many small ones. He says, “Let’s say this guy [the big one] has hooked up with all these [little] people. Whoa! What a stud.” Cheering is heard in the background. “But let’s say this is a girl,” he says, drawing a skirt on the large stick figure. “Is the situation any different? Yes or no? NO!” he says.
Attempting to convince students that anyone who judges someone because they are sexually promiscuous is bad, this “Sextra Credit” video portrays being a slut as a very desirable thing. However, since some might take offense at the word, Francisco says, “Be careful when you throw a word like ‘slut’ around. It should only be used for good.”
The video ends with a pop quiz. The upshot of the quiz is that if you don’t believe what Francisco says about his assertion that being a slut is a positive, healthy thing, “Sorry—you fail!”
Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. In an article entitled “Misery U: Hook-up culture leaves casualties,” Dr. Miriam Grossman, a campus psychiatrist at UCLA, points out some of the more grisly surprises that await young women who have promiscuous sex. Addressing healthcare professionals and organizations in general, and in particular “Ask Alice”—a promiscuity promoting website that emanates from Columbia University and is linked from Planned Parenthood websites—Dr. Grossman says:
OK, hold on a minute. As a health expert, Alice, aren’t you forgetting a few things?
Let’s start with this: These young women who have turned to you are adolescents, and that likely means their cervix is immature and more vulnerable to infection. Surely you’ve studied basic gynecology and know about the transformation zone, where human papillomavirus (HPV) has infected about half of sexually active college women, usually from one of their first encounters. Did you forget that this area shrinks with time, making infection less likely? This fact alone behooves you to urge these women to wait.
You must know, as well, that early sexual debut and multiple partners are risk factors in the development of infertility as well as cervical cancer. When you encourage your readers to “experiment” and “explore,” Alice, they are more likely to have more total lifetime sexual partners than if they delay those relationships.
You know that herpes and HPV are transmitted skin to skin and can be passed even when there are no visible lesions, and that even with latex—recent surveys show a minority of college students used a condom during their previous encounter—the “protection” is incomplete.
And what about the research suggesting that sexually active female adolescents are more vulnerable to depression? You tell your reader that “exploring” will add to her well-being and peace of mind. I’m wondering which study it was, exactly, that reached those conclusions.
The college students who end up in my office don’t sound so carefree. They share grim tales of unwanted pregnancies and treatment for warts and abnormal Pap smears. They are ashamed and worried. Some have insomnia or depression related to their conditions. Others aren’t infected, so far as they know, they just have broken hearts.
One freshman whose first “real” boyfriend had just dumped her wanted to know, “Why, Dr. Grossman, do they warn you about STDs and pregnancy, but they don’t tell you what it does to your heart?”
What could I tell her? In my profession, common sense has vanished. It has been replaced by social agendas. The ideology of “anything goes,” “women are just like men,” “abortion is benign,” “sex is a recreational activity” is alive and well in much of campus health and counseling.
And Planned Parenthood is grabbing millions of tax dollars to teach “sex positive” sex education that imperils the health and well-being of young people on school campuses and through every venue imaginable. While it continually claims it isn’t getting government money to promote its abortion business, it readily acknowledges the receipt of millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars to impact very young children with its twisted messages, while leading parents to believe it is somehow teaching abstinence in the process.
So, let’s see how encouraging teens to be promiscuous plays out for Planned Parenthood:
– Millions of taxpayer dollars in PP bank accounts
– PP executives in top 1.5 percent of household incomes nationwide
– Kids brainwashed by “sex positive” messages
– Kids become sexually active at very young ages
– Their health is ravaged by STDs (more money for PP)
– Out of wedlock pregnancies result
– Planned Parenthood goes in for the kill—abortion—generating much, much more money
– Repeat the scenario over and over
– Planned Parenthood gets filthy rich
Now let’s see how this plays out for families:
– Families have no money because the government gave it to Planned Parenthood
– Kids corrupted by Planned Parenthood
– Wedge driven between parents and children
– Kids’ souls stolen by sexual promiscuity
– Their health ravaged by STDs
– Hearts deadened by multiple hook-ups and resultant heartbreak
– Kids depressed and suicidal
– They engage in drug and alcohol abuse
– Children/grandchildren killed inside Planned Parenthood facilities without the knowledge or permission of adult family members
– America stands on the precipice of depopulation and financial collapse due to lack of younger workers to support an aging population
It’s a temporary win for Planned Parenthood and a FAIL for families.
Buy, hey, be careful how you throw that word “slut” around. Only use it for good.
